SETTING THE SCENEThe UMSL women's basketball team hits the road for the first time in GLVC play this weekend, traveling to a pair of East Division foes. The Tritons are at No. 2 ranked and undefeated Lewis on Thursday before traveling further north on Saturday to Wisconsin-Parkside. The Tritons are off to a 2-0 start in league play, sweeping Illinois Springfield and McKendree at home last weekend.
LAST TIME OUTUMSL is coming off a 66-57 win over McKendree last Sunday and also defeated Illinois Springfield, 54-34, last Friday. Senior
Amber Daly led the Tritons with 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game and scored a career-best 24 points in the win over McKendree. Redshirt freshman
Jordan Fletcher followed with 13.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, while shooting 63.2 percent from the field. Defensively, the Tritons limited both opponents to a combined 35.4 percent shooting and an average of 45.5 points per game. UMSL collected a season-best 18 steals against Illinois Springfield.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKINGAlexis Lawrence is averaging a team-best 15.4 points per game and has drained 31 three-pointers, an average of 3.10 per game, which ranks second in the GLVC and 16th in NCAA DII. Senior
Tierra Snow follows with 9.7 points per game and adds 7.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 54.5 percent from the field. Junior

Kelly McGovern leads the team with 3.8 assists and 7.4 rebounds per game and has a team-high 19 steals.

The Flyers average a league-best 83.8 points per game and are led by reigning GLVC Player of the Year Mariyah Brawner-Henley's 18.8 points and 13.7 rebounds per game, while Jamie Johnson scores a team-best 19.9 points per game.
Wisconsin-Parkside enters a Thursday home contest against Maryville - its first home game of the season - with a 5-4 record, including a 1-2 GLVC mark, with its lone win coming in a 55-54 decision at Quincy in its last outing. Gabby Bronson paces the Rangers with 12.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. UW-Parkside leads the GLVC in scoring defense, allowing 57.7 points per game.
SERIES HISTORIESLewis leads the all-time series, 21-7, and won both meetings last season, including a 67-60 decision in St. Louis during the regular season and a 69-64 verdict in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional.
The Tritons are 10-16 all-time against UW-Parkside, but snapped a six-game losing streak to the Rangers last year, posting a 74-50 win in St. Louis. Â
