SPRINGFIELD, ILL. –The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team scored twice in the second half en route to a 2-0 road win at Illinois Springfield on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Tritons netted both goals in a span of five minutes and 14 seconds to improve to 6-6-2 overall, including 5-5-2 in the GLVC. Illinois Springfield falls to 4-9-2 and 2-8-2 in the league.

Jon Huelsman put UMSL on the board in the 64
th minute off junior
DJ Bednar's layoff pass to just outside the 18, shooting the ball into the right corner. It was Huelsman's team-leading seventh goal of the year.

Richie Hoffman added an insurance goal in the 69
th minute on his first tally of the year with the assist to senior
Tyler Collico.
UMSL finished the contest with 10 shots, landing four on goal. Huelsman placed two of his three shots on target.
Defensively, the Tritons limited the Prairie Stars to just one shot on goal in eight shots, while notching their fifth shutout. Junior keeper
Jack Filla played all 90 minutes between the posts.
UMSL returns to the field on Friday, hosting Bellarmine at 7:30 p.m.
