Live Stats | Webcast

SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL continues its current seven-game homestand, hosting crosstown foe Lindenwood. The Tritons will look to stay in the win column after opening their home slate with a victory over Fontbonne on Wednesday, which moved UMSL to 25-0 in home non-conference games, dating back to the start of the 2010-11 season.

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL improved to 1-2 on Wednesday with a 77-59 win over Fontbonne in the home opener. A balanced attack helped spur the Tritons to the win with four players scoring in double figures, led by junior Joseph English's 13 points. English averages a team-best 11.0 points per game, while junior Tre Hymer adds 10.7 points per game.

OTHER STATISTICAL LEADERS
Junior Alex Majewski averages 6.3 rebounds... Joseph English averages 2.7 assists per game and is tied with freshman Joshua Webster with four steals on the year... Webster also owns a team-best three blocks... senior Brandon Marquardt has seven three-point field goals.

FROM THREE-POINT RANGE
UMSL is averaging 8.3 three-point field goals per game, shooting 43.9 percent from beyond the arc. Senior Cortez Conners has netted six of nine attempts (.667), while Brandon Marquardt is 7-of-12 (.583). Sophomore Max Cook is 4-of-6 (.667).

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lindenwood is coming off an 82-66 home win over Maryville on Wednesday night and will be playing its second of four straight GLVC opponents when it visits UMSL. Three players average double figures for the Lions, including Cory Arentsen, who puts up 25.7 points per game and adds 7.3 rebounds per contest. Arentsen is shooting 60.9 percent from the field and is 9-of-18 from three-point range and is 12-of-12 at the free throw line. Lindenwood is shooting better than 50 percent from the field and averaging 81.7 points per game.

THE SERIES
UMSL is 7-1 all-time against Lindenwood and defeated the Lions, 83-77, last season. Then junior Brandon Marquardt, a Lindenwood transfer, scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half to help the Tritons to the win, which made them 7-0 for the first time in program history.

UP NEXT
UMSL will host Webster on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
