SIZING UP THE TRITONSUMSL is coming off a 114-58 victory over Robert Morris-Springfield on Tuesday night, but lost its two previous games - both in GLVC play. The Tritons are 4-4 overall, including 0-2 in the league. Senior
Brandon Marquardt averages a team-best 12.6 points per game and has put together back-to-back 20-point plus outings. He has netted a team-high 38 three-pointers and is shooting 51.6 percent from beyond the arc. Junior
Joseph English follows with 10.9 points and 4.6 assists per game.
Outside of the Robert Morris-Springfield game, the Tritons are averaging 72.7 points in their three wins, while shooting 48.1 percent from the field, but in the four losses, are netting just 61.0 points per game behind 38.6 percent shooting.
UMSL has made a GLVC-best 78 three-pointers and ranks second with 9.75 long balls per game. They are shooting 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.

ASSIST/TURNOVER LEADERSUMSL leads the GLVC in assist-turnover ratio (1.68) and ranks fourth nationally in this category. Junior
Joseph English ranks first individually in the GLVC and second nationally in NCAA DII at 9.25 with just four turnovers to 37 assists. He is averaging a GLVC-third best 4.63 assists per game.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSMaryville is 2-6 overall, including 0-2 in the GLVC. The Saints are also 0-2 on the road. Marvin Grant-Clark averages a team-est 18.3 points per game, while Max Mischkulnig ads 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game. The Saints are third in the GLVC in field goal percentage, shooting 49.6 percent, but they average 16.6 turnovers per game.
THE SERIESUMSL is 16-3 all-time against Maryville and has won three of the last four meetings. The two teams split last season, each winning on the road. The Tritons posted an 86-79 win at Maryville on Jan. 19, while the Saints earned an 80-68 victory in the regular season finale on Feb. 26.
