Anthony Cope and sophomore
Julien de Poyen each finished in the top 10 to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team to a tie for fourth place finish at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, hosted by the Tritons on Sunday and Monday.
Cope placed sixth with a 145 (72-73), while de Poyen tied for seventh with a 146 (75-71), while UMSL turned in a 596 (296-300) as a team.
Redlands won the team title with a 590 (299-291), bettering Oklahoma Christian by two strokes in the 17-team field. West Florida finished one stroke ahead of the Tritons, which tied with Arkansas Tech.

Colby Yates (76-77) and freshman
Markus Lindberg (74-79) each fired a 153, tying for 27
th place, while sophomore
Matt Barry rounded out the scoring with a 155 (75-80), finishing in a tie for 39
th place.
Freshmen
Stephan Sorg (76-79 – 155; T39th),
Gordon Hundley (77-85 – 162; T61st) and
Brian Wade (83-88 – 171; 82
nd) all competed as individuals.
Medalist honors went to Redlands' Bobby Holden, who finished one-under par with a 143 (76-67).
