SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The No. 8 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team earned two wins at Drury on Saturday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader. The Tritons posted a 9-1 win in the nine-inning opener and posted a 2-0 shutout in the nightcap.
UMSL improves to 39-4 and 17-3 in the GLVC, while Drury slips to 11-27 and 5-15 in the conference.
The Tritons wrap up their weekend roadswing tomorrow at Missouri S&T. First pitch is at 1 p.m. in Rolla, Mo.

Hannah Perryman struck out a season-best 19 in the two-hit victory without issuing a walk. Both hits and the run came in the second inning, but Perryman retired 22 straight to end the game.
UMSL's first run came in the first inning on Kern's RBI single.

Alex Stupek in the third inning was all the offense UMSL needed as H. Perryman tossed her 19
th shutout of the year, improving to 34-2 in the circle. She struck out 12 without issuing a walk, while scattering five hits.
The Tritons tallied nine hits and left eight on base. Stupek, Shivers and junior
