Pat Ries helped the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team to a 2-1 win at Truman State Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Selimovic helped UMSL to the early lead, scoring his second goal of the year in the sixth minute after beating the goalie on the left side and firing into the empty net.
- Ries notched his team-leading seventh goal in the 63
rd minute, taking the cross from junior
Nick Harper and shooting to the back left.
- Truman State avoided the shutout with a tally in the 84
th minute off a free kick set play.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Truman State outshot the Tritons, 16-8, including 6-4, in shots on goal. Senior keeper
Jake Schmidt made five saves, playing all 90 minutes.
