SETTING THE SCENE
Winners of its last three, UMSL looks to stay in the win column this weekend when the Tritons welcome Rockhurst on Thursday and Bellarmine on Saturday.
SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL improved to 10-5 overall, including 4-4 in the GLVC with wins over Maryville (83-64) and Quincy (80-60) last weekend... the Tritons scored 80 or more points in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2014-15 season... UMSL is 6-1 at home, but 5-0 in the Mark Twain Building, including 3-0 in the GLVC... three of its GLVC losses have been decided by five points or less... UMSL sits in a three-way tie atop the GLVC Central Division standings with McKendree and Illinois Springfield and is in sixth place in the GLVC Point Rating System, which is being used to determine the eight qualifying teams for the 2018 GLVC Tournament.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
Four players average double figures for the Tritons, led by
Jordan Fletcher's 12.8 per game average. Fletcher also averages 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, while shooting 52.1 percent from the field. The senior forward, coming off ACL surgery at the end of the 2016-17 season, was averaging just 5.3 points four games into the season. She has scored in double figures in 11 straight and in games played in 2018 is averaging 18.8 points. In GLVC-only games, Fletcher is averaging 15.9 points, which ranks ninth.
Junior
Arielle Jackson adds 12.4 points, while senior
Shawnta Johnson follows with 11.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
Senior
Sammie Sproul rounds out those in double figures with 10.8 points and has a team-best 42 three-pointers, while shooting 45.7 percent from beyond the arc, which is second in the GLVC and 17th nationally in NCAA DII. Her 2.8 long balls per game tops the GLVC and ranks 28th in DII.
AMONG THE LEADERS
• The Tritons lead the GLVC and rank 17th nationally in fewest fouls with 255, an average of just 17 per game.
• UMSL is holding opponents to 59.4 points per game, which ranks third in the league and 46th in NCAA DII.
• The Tritons are shooting a GLVC best 36 percent from three-point range, which is 35th nationally.
HENNING'S WAY
Junior
Kaitlynn Henning is averaging 15 points and 3.3 steals in her last three outings. She scored a career-high 19 points in the win over Maryville and had a career-best seven steals in a win over McKendree, one shy of the program's single-game high.
CAREER NOTEWORTHY
Senior
Jordan Fletcher scored her 1,000th career point in the win over Maryville and has 1,040, which ranks eighth on the career charts. She also ranks second all-time in career blocks (121), 12 shy of the 133 recorded by Jennifer Martin (2005-07), and is third in career field goal percentage (.564). Fletcher also ranks fifth all-time in rebounds (577).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Rockhurst is 8-9 overall, including 4-5 in the GLVC. The Hawks sit in fourth place in the GLVC West Division and are tied for eighth in the GLVC Point Rating System. Rockhurst, in the midst of a five-game roadswing, is 2-5 in road games, including 2-2 in GLVC games. The Hawks are led by sophomore Madelin Ronshausen's 15.2 points per game.
Bellarmine enters a Thursday road game at Indianapolis with a 10-8 overall record, including a 5-3 GLVC mark. The Knights are coming off a pair of home victories last weekend, including an upset of then No. 6 ranked Drury, 84-70. However, Bellarmine is 1-4 on the road, including 1-2 in the GLVC. In league-only games, Bellarmine is third with 71.4 points per game and is shooting a league-best 84.2 percent at the free throw line. Raven Merriweather is averaging 18.6 points, including 19.2 in GLVC games, to go with 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.
SERIES HISTORIES
UMSL is 15-10 all-time against Rockhurst despite losing the last two after winning the previous nine. The Hawks earned a 79-71 win in Kansas City, Mo., last year, and won the last meeting in St. Louis, 66-63, during the 2015-16 season.
Bellarmine owns a 21-11 advantage in the series, although UMSL has won five of the last six, which included a 58-57 upset victory over the then No. 17 ranked Knights, in St. Louis.
