Miguel Maisterra of the men's golf team have both been named to the Division DII PING All-Midwest Region Team, as announced by the GCAA.
Ferris entered this week's NCAA DII Championships with a scoring average of 74.29, having recorded six top-10 finishes. He shot a season-low round of 67 during the fall season at the Tiffin Kyle Ryman Memorial en route to earning an eighth place finish, finishing with a 215. Ferris placed third at the Greyhound Invitational in the spring, turning in a season-best 214 (69-73-72), which also earned him GLVC Golfer of the Week honors.
Maisterra entered the DII Championships with a scoring average of 75.28 and recorded sixth place finishes at the Midwest Regional at Fox Run in the fall and at the NCAA DII Midwest/Central Regional earlier this month, in which he shot a 215 (71-73-71).
The duo has helped UMSL to six top-five team finishes this season and the program's 10
th NCAA Championships appearance.
