Dust Selected to Represent USA D2 Basketball in Brazil

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis senior forward Eric Dust has been selected to compete with the USA D2 Men's Basketball Team in Brazil. Ron Smith, Director of USA Sports Tours & Events, announced the rosters and coaches for the men's and women's teams, which are made up of NCAA Division II basketball players from all regions of the United States.

"We are happy that Eric can be a part of the D2 tour to Brazil," said UMSL head men's basketball coach Bob Sundvold. "It should prove to be a quality cultural, educational, and basketball experience, and a great way for him to prepare for his senior season."

Dust, who transferred to UMSL last year after two seasons at St. Ambrose, led the Tritons in rebounds with 130 during the 2017-18 campaign, an average of 4.8 per game. He also averaged 6.9 points per game and shot 43.1 percent from the field, playing in all 27 games.

"It means a lot to be able to have this kind of experience," Dust said. "When Coach Sundvold told me I was offered the opportunity, I was really excited. I think being so close to the season, it will be great for me to be able to get four games under my belt in August before preseason begins.

"I'm also looking forward to playing with and against some great competition and doing so while also seeing a part of the world I've never been to before. I'll be around a great group of guys, including some I've played against, so it should be a fun trip."
