SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL begins GLVC Tournament play on Friday at 11:30 a.m. against No. 6 seed Bellarmine in the first of four quarterfinal round matches. The Tritons garnered the No. 3 seed after finishing in a tie for second place in the regular season league standings with Lewis, but lost the tiebreaker due to the Flyers' 3-1 win during the regular season.

All matches will be played at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill. Semifinals are slated for Saturday beginning at 2:30 p.m. with the championship on Sunday at Noon.

UMSL defeated Bellarmine, 3-1, at home on November 2, winning by set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17.

THE REST OF THE TOURNAMENT FIELD
UMSL is 3-3 against the other six teams in the field. The Tritons lost to No. 1 seed Rockhurst (3-2 at home), No. 2 Lewis (3-1 on the road) and No. 5 Drury (3-1 on the road), but defeated No. 4 Indianapolis (3-0 at home), No. 7 Illinois Springfield (3-2 on the road) and No. 8 Missouri S&T (3-2 on the road).

UMSL IN THE GLVC TOURNAMENT
UMSL did not qualify for the GLVC Tournament last year. They last appeared in 2017 as the No. 6 seed and lost a 3-1 decision to No. 3 seed Rockhurst in the quarterfinals.

UMSL is 3-17 all-time in GLVC Tournament games. The Tritons' last quarterfinal round win came in 2010 when they defeated former league member Northern Kentucky, 3-2. UMSL has never appeared in the championship match.

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
- UMSL is 27-3 overall, recording the program's most wins since the 1991 team was 39-11.
- The Tritons were 12-3 in the GLVC, finishing in a tie for second after being picked 10th in the league's preseason coaches poll.
- UMSL is ranked No. 22 in this week's AVCA DII Poll.
- UMSL has been third in all three NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings. The Tritons are aiming for the program's fourth postseason appearance and their first since 2010.
- The Tritons began the season 12-0 for the first time in program history.
- UMSL is 13-0 in neutral site matches, 8-2 on the road and was 6-1 at home.

- UMSL ranks sixth in NCAA DII in kills per set (14.66), is ninth in hitting percentage (0.265) and ninth in assists per game (13.28).

- The offense is directed by junior setter Kaileen Herman, who averages 11.42 assists per set, which ranks eighth in NCAA DII and leads the GLVC.
- Sophomore outside hitter Charlotte Richards averages 3.80 kills per set, which ranks 39th in NCAA DII.
- Senior outside hitter Selena Nolte averages 3.71 kills per set, which ranks 47th in NCAA DII.
- Senior opposite side hitter Kylie Rudsinski adds 2.92 kills per set.
- Sophomore libero Megan Woll averages 5.31 digs per set, which ranks second in the GLVC and is 38th in NCAA DII. Woll was a five-time GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.
