SETTING THE SCENE
- UMSL rings in the new year by hosting Maryville and Missouri S&T on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
- The Tritons are returning to the court for the first time in 14 days following the holiday break.
- UMSL also resumes GLVC play after playing one league game earlier this season, a 93-69 win over Lindenwood on December 3.
- At 10-1, the Tritons are looking to continue the best start in program history, while extend their current nine-game win streak.

- UMSL is 7-0 at home this season. They were 13-4 a year ago and are 66-29 in the Mark Twain Building under seventh-year head coach Bob Sundvold.

ABOUT MARYVILLE
- The Saints are 4-4 overall, including 0-1 in the GLVC.
- Maryville was picked 12th in the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Of the 13 players on the Saints roster, seven are underclassmen, including five freshmen.
- Freshman Parker Long averages 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

ABOUT MISSOURI S&T
- The Miners are 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the GLVC.
- Missouri S&T was picked 16th in the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll.

SERIES HISTORIES
UMSL is 21-6 all-time against Maryville and swept the series last year, winning at home, 70-64, and on the road, 77-69.

UMSL is 41-27 all-time against Missouri S&T and has won five of the last six contests, including both last season (76-63 on the road and 68-56 at home).

- They also lead the conference in steals (10.36 spg) and turnover margin (7.73), averaging just 10.1 turnovers per game, while their opponents commit an average of 17.8.
- Junior Jose Grubbs is averaging a team-best 13.6 points per game and is shooting 50.8 percent from the field, including 39.0 percent (16-of-41) from three-point range.
- Junior Yaakema Rose Jr. adds 11.2 points per game to go with 4.9 rebounds and a team-best 2.0 steals per game.
- Senior Jalen Wilkins-McCoy follows with 10.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, while shooting 55.7 percent from the field. He has scored in double figures in four of the last five games.
- Redshirt sophomore Steve Webb is seventh in the GLVC with 4.3 assists per game and also leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game.
