SETTING THE SCENE
The UMSL women's basketball team closes out a four-game road trip this weekend, traveling north to No. 16 ranked Lewis on Thursday before continuing on to Indianapolis on Saturday. Thursday's game will mark the second straight against a nationally ranked opponent. Â Â

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
- UMSL fell to 11-11 overall, including 5-8 in the GLVC, after suffering road losses at Missouri S&T (60-49) and No. 1 ranked Drury (77-44) last week.
- The Tritons are 2-8 on the road, including 1-5 in GLVC games.
- UMSL is in a three-way tie for eighth place in the overall league standings and is 10th in the GLVC Point Rating System, which is used to determine the top eight teams for the league's postseason tournament. The Tritons are 0.08 points outside of the top eight.
- Senior Arielle Jackson averaged 14.7 points per game and has a team-high 40 three-pointers.
- Sophomore Alex LaPorta is the only player in the GLVC to average a double-double (11.1 ppg, 10.4 rpg).
- LaPorta leads the league in rebounds per game, while freshman teammate Kiara Stewart is second with 9.8 boards per game.
- Jackson and LaPorta, along with senior Kaitlynn Henning have all started all 22 games and average more than 33 minutes per game combined.
- Sophomore Alex LaPorta leads the GLVC in rebounding (11.1 in GLVC-only games and 10.6 in all games). She ranks 25th in NCAA DII.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lewis is 20-2 overall, including 11-1 in the GLVC, have won seven straight and are 12-0 at home. The Flyers' Jessica Kelliher leads the GLVC in scoring (23.9 ppg) and last weekend became the conference's all-time leading scorer.

Indianapolis enters a Thursday game against Maryville at 8-14 overall, including 2-10 in the GLVC. The Greyhounds have lost four straight and are 5-8 at home.

SERIES HISTORIES
UMSL is 8-25 all-time against Lewis. The Tritons snapped a six-game losing streak to the Flyers last season, winning 66-63 in Romeoville.

UMSL is 11-20 all-time against Indianapolis and posted a 79-63 win at home last season.

UMSL closes out the home portion of its schedule next week, hosting No. 1 Drury on Thursday and Missouri S&T on Saturday. Thursday is the annual Pack the Stands, while Saturday is Senior Day.
