OPENING TIP NOTES
- UMSL opens the 2020-21 season by leaping right into GLVC play by hosting Drury on Friday. The Tritons's Sunday game against Southwest Baptist has been postponed.

TRITON TIDBITS
- The Tritons are 30-16 in season-openers, but have lost the last two.
- UMSL is 5-3 in season openers under ninth-year head coach Katie Vaughn. They lost a 78-44 decision to then No. 3 ranked Grand Valley State in last year's lid-lifter.
- UMSL is 3-21 in GLVC openers and are opening the league schedule at home for the second straight year.
- The Tritons were 10-4 at home a year ago, which included eight straight wins in the Mark Twain Building.

ABOUT UMSL
- Vaughn returns four starters from last year's team, including two-time Second Team All-GLVC performer Alex LaPorta. The senior forward enters the season second all-time in career rebounds with 764, needing 265 to break the record, and is 103 points shy of scoring 1,000 in her career.
- Also returning is senior guard Danielle Berry, who ranked third in the GLVC with 71 steals last year, junior forward Kiara Stewart and junior guard Faye Meissner.
- UMSL averaged 39.0 rebounds per game a year ago, which ranked second in the GLVC.
- The Tritons were fifth in the GLVC last year in scoring defense, allowing just 67.5 points per game.

ABOUT DRURY
The Panthers were 32-0 last year before the season was canceled prior to the NCAA Tournament. Drury returns two starters, while Amy Eagan will enter her first season as head coach of the Lady Panthers after serving as an assistant last year.

SERIES HISTORY
UMSL is 1-29 all-time against Drury. The Panthers won last year's meeting, 91-58, in Springfield, Mo.
