Box Score Preseason is just that -- preseason.

And if a team is able to come out of it healthy, that's good news.

The Tritons women's basketball team wrapped up the two-game preseason schedule Saturday with a 74-66 loss at SIUE.

Alex LaPorta led the way with her 14-point performance.

Kiara Stewart, Danielle Berry, and Faye Meissner all notched 10 points each.

Shania Liburd added 7, Adriana Plavsic had six, Mallory Ronshausen had five, Taylor Thompson and Jalysa Stokes both had two each.

Now, it is on to the regualr season, where the wins matter.

Head coach Katie Vaughn said a week ago the team wanted to iron out some details, to work on a few things, and even broaden the playbook a bit.

They now have done that in preparation for the season opener, Nov. 12, at Grand Valley State.
