SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The No. 13 University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team posted a score of 567 (286-281) and holds an 11-shot lead over Maryville after the first two rounds of the Midwest Regional at Panther Creek Golf Club in Springfield, Ill. The Tritons have four players in the top 10 and two more in the top 20.
Nick Hedberg sits atop the leaderboard after the first day as he posted a two-round score of 138 (71-67) to finish the day at six under par and holds a one-shot lead over Maryville's Austin Fauser heading into Tuesday's final round.
Ian McCrary and
Leo Baudry, competing as an individual, are in a three-way tie for fourth with Northwood's Evan Johnson with a score of 142. McCrary shot a 70 in the morning round and a 72 in the afternoon session. Baudry shot back-to-back rounds of 71.
Joel Sylven finished his day shooting an even par 144 (73-71) and is tied for ninth.
Cyril Henault and
Zach Unnerstall, competing as an individual, are tied for 16th overall after shooting respective scores of 145. Henault shot a two over par 74 in the morning round and came back to shoot a one under 71 in the afternoon. Unnerstall also shot a 74 in the morning and a 71 in the afternoon.
Brandon DiMemmo, competing as an individual, shot a 147 (73-74) to finish his day at three over par and is tied for 23rd while
Juan Antonio Padilla finished his two rounds with a score of 148 (72-76) and his tied for 28th at four over par.
The Tritons wrap up play in the Midwest Regional on Tuesday at Panther Creek Golf Club.
