ST. LOUIS, MO. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference released the GLVC Women's Basketball Tournament bracket in the evening of Saturday, Feb. 26. The University of Missouri-St. Louis is the 3-seed in the tournament and will face 14-seed McKendree University.
UMSL (21-4, 17-3 GLVC, 4.30 PRS) was the GLVC Central Division Champion in the regular season. The Tritons closed out the season with a win against McKendree, 84-54, earlier this evening. UMSL and the Bearcats will run it back on Monday, but this time in an elimination game. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Mark Twain Building.
The winner of UMSL and McK will face the winner of 6-seed University of Illinois Springfield and 11-seed Missouri S&T.
The University of Southern Indiana claimed the top-seed in the GLVC Tournament. USI earned a bye to the quarterfinals. The Screaming Eagles will face the winner of 8-seed Southwest Baptist University and 9-seed University of Indianapolis.
Drury University finished with 4.30 in the Points Rating System. Drury won the tiebreaker with UMSL because DU beat USI earlier in the season. The two-seed will face 15-seed William Jewell College. The winner of DU and WJC will face the winner of 7-seed Rockhurst University and 10-seed Lindenwood University.
Lewis University was named the 5-seed and will face 12-seed Maryville University. The winner of Lewis and Maryville will face the winner of 4-seed Truman State University and 13-seed Quincy University.
