FINDLAY, Ohio – The 19th ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is tied for second after posting a score of 560 (277-283) on the first day of the Doc Spragg Invitational at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. The Tritons are -16 under par through two rounds and trail Grand Valley State by one shot heading into Tuesday's final round.

Joel Sylven is in third place on the individual leaderboard with a score of 135 (64-71). He shot a 64 in the morning round with seven birdies and an eagle and followed it up with a 71 in the afternoon session. Sylven is four shots off the lead.

Juan Antonio Padilla is tied for 12th after two rounds with a 141 (69-72). He birdied is final two holes in the opening round to get to 69. In the afternoon round, Padilla was two over par in his final round heading into his final hole but eagled the par 5 first hole to finish at even par for the round.

Ian McCrary is tied for 24th with a 143 (74-69). He was two over par after his first 18 holes but rebounded in the afternoon with three birdies and had the lowest score in the round for UMSL.

Cyril Henault and Nick Hedberg are tied for 30th at 144. Henault had rounds of 73 and 71 while Hedberg shot a 71 in the morning and a 73 in the afternoon. Henault had four birdies in his afternoon round. Hedberg had five birdies in his second round.

 The final round of the Doc Spragg Invitational is scheduled to get underway on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Findlay Country Club.
