ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team concludes its regular season with a two-game homestand this weekend. The Tritons will host Indianapolis this Thursday (Feb. 23) at 5:30 p.m. and conclude the regular season on Saturday against McKendree at 1 p.m.

The Tritons (9-15, 7-11 GLVC) are ranked seventh in the latest GLVC Point Rating System with a rating of 2.92 heading into Thursday's game with the Greyhounds. The top eight teams in the final PRS will advance to next weekend's GLVC Tournament at Hyland Arena on the campus of Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
UMSL dropped its most recent contest at Maryville 63-58 last Thursday. The Tritons trailed by as many as 18 points in the contest late in the third quarter before cutting the deficit to two points in the final stanza. Liburd finished with a career-high 16 points in the contest while
Olivia Mezan and
Jalysa Stokes added 11 and 10 points respectively.
About Indianapolis – The Greyhounds enter Thursday's contest having won eight of their last 11 contests and are tied for fourth with Missouri S&T, who they'll face on Saturday, in the PRS with a rating of 3.39. The Hounds defeated Southwest Baptist 76-65 last Saturday as Sadie Hill led UIndy with 32 points while shooting 11-of-21 from the field.
This season, the Greyhounds are led in scoring and rebounding by Hill with averages of 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game; her scoring average ranks 11th in the conference.
As a team, UIndy is the top free throw shooting team in the GLVC at 77.4 percent and is second in the conference with 75 blocks.
About McKendree – The Bearcats enter Thursday's game at Maryville with a record of 10-15, 7-11 GLVC and are 10th in the PRS with a rating of 2.69. McKendree has lost five straight heading into Thursday's matchup with the Saints. The Bearcats lost to second ranked Drury 81-54 last Saturday afternoon.
Back on Jan. 12, UMSL defeated McKendree 60-55 in Lebanon, Ill., as the Tritons had three players reach double figures in scoring in that contest led by Stokes with a game-high 17 points.
This season, the Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Naomi McDaniel with averages of 13.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game; her scoring average ranks 16th in the conference.
As a team, McKendree is averaging 63.8 points per game while allowing 67.6 points per contest.
