Women’s Soccer Remains No. 8 in Latest NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings

ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team remained No. 8 in the third and final NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings, released on Wednesday (Nov. 13).

The NCAA Regional Rankings are the official rankings that determine the 56-team NCAA Division II tournament field. The top seven teams in the Midwest Region are selected for the national tournament, with the conference champions from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) receiving an automatic bid into the Midwest regional. Four at-large berths will also be given to the four highest-remaining ranked teams.

The NCAA bracket will be unveiled on Monday (Nov. 18) at 6 p.m. (CST) on ncaa.com.

UMSL (13-3-2) takes on No. 8 and top-seeded Maryville in the GLVC Tournament semifinals this Thursday (Nov. 14) at 7 p.m. at Creve Coeur Soccer Park in St. Louis. The Tritons are the league's No. 5 seed.

UMSL is looking to make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016 and fourth overall.
