ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is tied for seventh with a total team score of 283 after the first day of the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional at KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.
Leo Baudry leads the way for the Tritons and is tied for fifth overall after shooting a 67 (-3) in his opening round.
Ben McPherson shot an even par 70 and is tied for 23rd while
Cyril Henault shot a 72 in his round and is tied for 46th overall.
Southern Arkansas's Caleb Miller and Grand Valley State's Manuel Cue are tied atop the individual leaderboard after shooting respective 65's. Missouri S&T and Harding are tied for the team lead with a score of 276.
The top five teams in the standings at the conclusion of the regional will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships, May 21-25 in Orlando, Fla. UMSL trails fifth place Henderson State by three strokes heading into Friday's second round.
Round two starts at 7:30 a.m. with the Tritons scheduled to begin teeing off at 11:30 a.m.
