ST. LOUIS – Following a 2-0 weekend in its first home matches of the season, the University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team is ranked fifth in the latest AVCA/Taraflex Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Monday afternoon. The Tritons collected 923 points in voting from various Division II coaches across the country.
UMSL is 9-1 on the season after defeating McKendree in four sets and sweeping Maryville this past weekend at the Mark Twain Building.
The Tritons have been ranked in 19 consecutive AVCA Coaches Polls dating back to the final poll of the 2022 season. They have been ranked in the top 10 of every poll dating back to the start of last season.
UMSL opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play on the road this weekend visiting Rockhurst on Friday night at 6 p.m. and William Jewell in a 4 p.m. contest on Saturday.
