ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team opened its 2024-25 season with a fifth place finish out of 12 teams at the 2024 Arch Cup at Gateway National Golf Club in Madison, Ill., on Tuesday. The Tritons finished with a final score of 576 (287-289) while its second squad finished 11th with a score of 605 (299-306).
Freshman
Logan Mayo led the way for UMSL finishing in a tie for second with a score of 138 (70-68) and was named to the All-Tournament team. Sophomore
Dani Solavera also finished in the top 10 as he took seventh with a score of 141 (68-73). Junior
Leo Baudry shot a 148 (73-75).
Freshman
AJ Hovermale led the Tritons second team in the event finishing 14th with a score of 144 (67-77) and sophomore
Benjamin Berger shot a 146 (73-73).
William Jewell's Bryson Oots was the individual medalist with a score of 135 (69-66) and Drury was the team champion winning by six shots over Missouri S&T. The Panthers finished with a score of 567 (277-290).
The Tritons return to the course on Monday (Sept. 22) competing in the UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor County Club in Indianapolis.
