ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team heads to Hammond, Ind., this weekend to compete in the 17th annual Midwest Region Crossover at the Hammond Sportsplex in Hammond, Ind.
The Tritons, the No. 1 seed from the GLVC, will take on Hillsdale, seeded sixth from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, in their first match on Friday at 11:30 a.m. and then will play Davenport, seeded fourth from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, in their second match of the day at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday's opponent and match time will be determined after the results of Friday's matches.
UMSL improved to 13-4 and remained unbeaten in GLVC play with a pair of road wins last weekend. It defeated Upper Iowa in straight sets last Friday in Fayette, Iowa and then on Saturday beat Truman State in four sets. The Tritons are winners of six straight heading into Friday's matches.
Hillsdale is 6-7 overall but 4-3 in the GMAC. The Chargers started the season dropping six of their first eight matches but have rebounded winning four of their last five contests. Their lone loss in that stretch came last Friday in a straight set loss to No. 25 Findlay.
Davenport enters play on Friday with a record of 9-7 overall including 6-3 in the GLIAC and have won two straight. The Panthers take on Ashland in their first match on Friday at 11:30 a.m. The Panthers picked up wins over Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley State this past weekend.
Tickets for the Midwest Region Crossover will be sold at the door only and is cash only. It's $12 per person per session, a two-day pass is $20 and children ages 10 and younger will be admitted free of charge.
The 2025 Midwest Region Crossover will be streamed on BallerTV for $40 for the entire tournament.
