ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team tips off its 2025-26 season this weekend with a pair of road contests up north. The Tritons face Roosevelt in the season opener on Friday at 1 p.m. and then on Saturday they will travel up to Kenosha, Wis., for a game with Parkside at 1 p.m.

Katie Vaughn returns six players from last year's team that went 19-9 overall including 13-7 in the GLVC and advanced to the GLVC Tournament for the fourth time in five years.

Mara Rieder are the team's top returning scorers averaging 10.0 and 9.9 points per game respectively. Wolff was a second team All-GLVC selection last season. Rieder led the team with 24 blocked shots and senior
Morgan Ramthun led the team with 8.7 rebounds per contest and contributed 8.6 points per outing.
Roosevelt enters its second season in transition to NCAA Division II and went 12-15 overall, including 10-10 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Tritons and Lakers met in last season's opener in St. Louis with UMSL picking up the 78-51 win. Roosevelt was picked to finish eighth in the GLIAC this season.
Parkside enters Friday's contest with Maryville with a record of 2-1 after opening its season at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic in Canada two weeks ago. The Rangers opened their season with wins over Simon Fraser and Saint Martin's before falling to Western Washington in the finale of the classic.

Katie Hamill leads the team in scoring with 16 points per game and is joined in double figures by Cassidy Arni and Lillie Petersen with 12.0 and 10.3 points per contest.
Parkside is picked to finish fourth in the GLIAC this season.
UMSL tips off its home schedule on Tuesday (Nov. 25) hosting Purdue Northwest at 2 p.m. at the Mark Twain Building.
