ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team will host Missouri S&T in the quarterfinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer tournament this Sunday at 12 p.m. at Don Dallas Field.

The Tritons earned a share of the regular season GLVC championship and the number one seed in the tournament with their 7-0 win at William Jewell and McKendree's tie at Quincy on Sunday afternoon. Missouri S&T earned the number eight seed courtesy of its 2-0 win at Southwest Baptist and Truman State's 4-2 loss to Maryville on Sunday afternoon.
UMSL enters Sunday's contest with a record of 12-3-2 including 11-1-2 in GLVC play and are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back conference titles since McKendree did it in 2016 and 2017. The regular season title is the first in program history.
The Miners enter Sunday's contest with a record of 8-3-2 overall and finished 6-5-3 in the GLVC this season. They finished in a tie with Lewis for seventh in the standings but lost out on the tiebreaker with the Flyers earning a 2-1 win in their head-to-head contest.
The Tritons and S&T met in Rolla on September 26 with UMSL coming away with a 1-0 win at Allgood-Bailey Stadium on
Ella Anselm's goal in the 84th minute of play.
The Tritons enter postseason play ranked third in the GLVC in goals with 36, first in assists with 38 and are tied for second with McKendree with 110 total points. UMSL's defense was tied with McKendree in allowing the fewest goals this season with nine and posted 10 shutouts.
Gwen Maggard leads the team in scoring with 16 points, tallying five goals and six assists while
Josie Maddox is second at 14 points with six goals and two assists. The Tritons have had 16 different players score a goal this season and 16 different players have tallied points for the balanced offensive attack.
Rylee Griffith is tied for first in the GLVC with eight shutouts, is second in goals against average at 0.552 and fourth in saves with an .827 save percentage.
The Miners enter Sunday's contest having scored 28 goals while yielding 15. Adriana Benassi leads the conference in game-winning goals with six, is second in points (30) and goals (13). Allie Workman and Nathalie Bello are tied for second on the team with three goals scored each.
Anastasia Barcom has played over 1330 minutes in goals this season, posting six shutouts, has allowed 11 goals and has a goals against average of 0.74.
The winner of Sunday's quarterfinal will advance to the semifinal round next Friday (Nov. 14) to take on the winner of the quarterfinal contest between Quincy and Drury at 4 p.m. at Creve Coeur Soccer Park.
