ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis freshman golfer
Logan Mayo was named to the Ping All-Midwest Region team as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday afternoon. He was one of 12 golfers named to the squad and was one of five from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Mayo, the GLVC's Freshman of the Year, is the 19th player in school history to receive all-region honors. He's played in 35 rounds during the 2024-25 season with a 71.80 stroke average with a season-low of 67. Mayo won the Findianapolis Intercollegiate as well as capturing a runner-up finish at the Arch Cup back in September in his first collegiate event.
He is ranked sixth in the GLVC, 14th in the Midwest Region and 128th in Division II. Mayo helped the Tritons to three runner-up finishes to go along with five top-five results. He finished in a tie for sixth at the GLVC Championships with a score of 216 (78-71-67) with a tournament-low score in the third round.
Mayo is now eligible for All-America honors.
The Tritons begin competition in the NCAA Championships on Monday (May 19) at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla.
