ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is in the hunt for a spot in the NCAA Championships after shooting a team score of 289 and are in a four-way tie for fifth with a 36-hole total team score of 585 (296-289) after the first days of the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional at the St. Joseph, Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
Leo Baudry continues to lead the for the Tritons and is in a four-way tie for second at 140 after shooting 70 for the second consecutive day.
Logan Mayo moved up to 29th after shooting a 70 and has a 36-hole score of 147 (77-70).
Trigg Lindahl is tied for 54th at 149 (75-74).
Washburn's Marco Anderson is the individual leader with a score of 138 (75-67) and holds a two-shot lead over Baudry, Saginaw Valley's Jiseung Choi, Grand Valley's Manuel Cue and Arkansas Tech's Landon Lawson. Central Oklahoma continues to sit atop the leaderboard with a total team score of 572 (280-292).
The top three teams and top two individuals not with an advancing team are guaranteed spots in the NCAA Championships May 19-23 at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla. The final eight at-large bids will come down to results from last year's NCAA match play championships.
The final round of the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional is scheduled to tee off on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. UMSL will begin teeing off at 11:50 a.m.
