NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team will open the 2025-26 season ranked No. 21 in the Bushnell Golfweek Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The Tritons are coming off a 17th place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships last season.
All five individuals who competed at the championships return for 17th-year head coach
Troy Halterman including sophomore
Logan Mayo who was an All-Midwest selection, All-GLVC and GLVC Freshman of the Year. The Springdale, Ark., native had the second lowest single season scoring average in school history at 71.87.
Also returning are sophomore
Trigg Lindahl and junior
Dani Solavera both of whom were All-GLVC selections a year ago. Lindahl had a scoring average of 72.74 with three top-five and five top-10 finishes while Solavera was at 72.92 with one top-five and two top-10 finishes.
UMSL will tee off the season on Tuesday, Sept. 2 with the annual Arch Cup at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill. The fall portion of its schedule also features five other tournaments, including the National Preview in Boulder City, Nev., hosted by the Tritons, October 6-7.
