WEEKLY REWIND…
Men's Golf
The No. 21 Tritons opened their season winning the Arch Cup with a score of 562 (280-282) on Tuesday afternoon at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.
Dani Solavera won his first collegiate event with final score of 136 (70-66) and was named the GLVC's Men's Golf Player of the Week.
Women's Soccer
The Tritons split their first two games falling to Pittsburg State 2-0 in their season opener on Thursday evening but rebounded to defeat Washburn 3-0 on Saturday behind goals from
Kennedi Hooks,
Gwen Maggard and
Taylor Martin.
Rylee Griffith posted a clean sheet.
Men's Soccer
The Tritons opened their 2025 season with a 1-1 draw at Kentucky Wesleyan last Thursday.
Tommy Wortham scored his first collegiate goal with an assist from
Mario Garcia.
Volleyball
The Tritons opened their season going 3-1 at the McKendree Invitational this past Friday and Saturday.
Alayna Santel led the way offensively for UMSL averaging 3.5 kills per set,
Caitlin Bishop handed out 12.83 assists per set and
Skylar Weaver averaged 4.92 digs per set.
Cross Country
The Triton men finished fifth with a team score of 139 points at the UIS Prairie Star Invitational on Friday evening in Springfield, Ill.
Will Kaempfe won the 7K race with a time of 21:45.38.
The Triton women finished seventh with 187 points and were led by
Bella Massaro who covered the 5K course in a time of 21:06.05.
Women's Tennis
The Tritons began the fall portion of their schedule at the Cougar Invite at the SIUE Tennis Courts this past weekend.
Aleksandra Lopez won both her singles matches while
Alexandra Cedeno went 1-1.
Hannah Tse and
Morgan Lint won their doubles match on Saturday.
