ST. LOUIS – The No. 24 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team begins its final homestand of the season on Thursday hosting Truman State at 5:30 p.m. on Chuck Smith Court at the Mark Twain Building. The Tritons host William Jewell in its final home game of the regular season on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Morgan Ramthun and
Alex Wolff prior to the start of Saturday's game.
UMSL won both of its road contests last week defeating Upper Iowa 72-60 last Thursday and Quincy 73-53 on Saturday. The Tritons recorded their fifth season with at least 20 wins in school history and fourth in the
Katie Vaughn era with Saturday's win. UMSL is three wins shy of tying the program's single season record of 23 which was set in the 2021-22 season.
The two wins last week helped the Tritons widen their lead over Drury for the number one seed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament which will be held March 5-8 at the Mark Twain Building on the UMSL campus. UMSL enters this week with a point rating of 4.76 in the GLVC's Point Ratings System (PRS) that determines the eight teams that make the GLVC Tournament. The Tritons lead the Panthers by 0.38 points heading into Thursday's games.
UMSL returned to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll with its two wins last weekend and are 24th in this week's rankings.
Mara Rieder led the way last weekend for the Tritons averaging 17 points per contest while Ramthun averaged a double-double with 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Riera and
Jaeda Wilson averaged 11.5 points and 10.5 points per contest respectively.
Rieder continues to lead the GLVC in scoring at 19.6 points per outing this season and is second in rebounding at 9.7 per game. She also leads the league in blocked shots with 2.2 per contest and is fifth in field goal percentage at 53.8 percent.
About Truman State – The Bulldogs enter Thursday's contest with a record of 15-9 overall including 12-4 in the GLVC and are sixth in the PRS with a rating of 3.69. TSU is coming off home wins over Missouri S&T and Lincoln last weekend.
Avery Rausch led the Bulldogs in scoring last week with 15 points per game while Mallory Ott added 12.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per outing.
Truman State is third in the GLVC in scoring offense this season at 71.4 points per contest but are giving up 64.8 points per game which is seventh in the league.
About William Jewell – The Cardinals enter Thursday's contest against Lincoln with a record of 0-22 including 0-16 in the GLVC. They were defeated at home last week by Drury and Missouri S&T.
Syderah Farmer leads WJC in scoring and rebounding with 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Jalea Price leads the squad in assists (28) and steals (28).
