SPRING, TEXAS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team is in sixth place with a total team score of 613 (308-305) after the first day of the Southern Invite at Cypresswood Golf Club's Traditions Course on Monday in Spring, Texas.
Hillary Currier and
Wilma Zanderau are tied for seventh on the player leaderboard after 36 holes with scores of 149. Currier shot a 75 in the morning round and followed it up with a 74 in the afternoon session. Zanderau shot a 74 in the morning and a 75 in the afternoon round.
Mayan Covarrubias finished her day with a score of 158 (81-77),
Josefin Hansson turned in scores of 81 and 79 for a score of 160 and
Emmy Wahl shot a 162 (78-84).
The University of Texas-Tyler's Martha Laremark holds a shot a 143 and holds one-shot lead over her teammate Lucy Kate Smith and Henderson State's Lily Nelson. The Patriots are the team leaders with a 36-hole total team score of 582 (285-297).
Tuesday's final round tees off at 8:30 a.m. at Cypresswood Golf Club.
