ST. LOUIS – The season's first set of NCAA Division II Regional Rankings came out on Wednesday afternoon, with the No. 24 University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team listed among those receiving postseason consideration. The Tritons are one of 10 Midwest Region teams on the initial list.
This year, the first regional rankings included teams in alphabetical order only, with actual rankings set to be included in next week's release. Selection Sunday comes on March 8 when the 64-team NCAA DII Championship field – eight from each region – will be announced on NCAA.com.
UMSL is looking to make its third NCAA Tournament in the
Katie Vaughn era and fourth overall.
