WEEKLY REWIND…
Women's Swimming
The No. 23 Tritons recorded their best finish at the Division II Swimming and Diving Championships finishing 15th out of 35 teams with 75 points.
Justice Beard led the way winning the distance triple crown (500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle races) and came home with six All-American awards.
Men's Swimming
The Tritons were led by
Aaron Wicklund who competed in three events at the Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. He earned honorable mention All-America honors with his 14th place finish in the 200 breast on Saturday.
Women's Basketball
The Tritons picked up their first NCAA Tournament win in school history upsetting No. 16 and second seeded Ferris State 70-59 on Friday afternoon.
Jayden Kuper matched her career-high with 25 points in that contest. UMSL's season came to an end on Saturday with a 60-49 loss to No. 23 and third seeded Northwood. The Tritons finish the season with a record of 25-6 and set a new single season record for victories.
Baseball
The Tritons opened conference play winning three of four against Truman State this past weekend.
Justin Terhaar led the way for UMSL hitting .438 with six RbIs while
Owen Faith hit .417 with six runs scored and four RBIs.
Softball
The Tritons opened GLVC play with three wins in four games at Southwest Baptist and Rockhurst over the weekend.
Phoebe Miller hit .417 with a home run, three doubles and four RBIs. She hit the game-winning home run in game against Rockhurst on Saturday.
Women's Golf
The Tritons finished 12th out of 17 teams with a total team score of 905 (304-302-299) at the Emerald Coast Classic last week.
Wilma Zanderau led the way for UMSL finishing in tie for 23rd with a 54-hole score of 221 (74-73-74).
Men's Tennis
The Tritons snapped their three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over McPherson on Saturday afternoon at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
Jose Yanez picked up the winning point in the number six singles match.
Women's Tennis
The Tritons improved to 5-1 with a 6-1 win over McPherson on Saturday afternoon at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
Hannah Tse picked up a pair of wins in the dual match.
