RICHMOND, Ky. – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore golfer
Mayan Covarrubias finished in a tie for first at the Findlay Spring Invitational with a score of 148 (73-75) at Boone's Trace Golf Course in Richmond, Ky. Monday's final round was canceled due to high winds and cold temperatures.
The Tritons finished in third place on the team leaderboard with a score of 619 (309-310) after 36 holes of play were completed.
Covarrubias tied with Findlay's Avery Thompson. Covarrubias shot an opening round score of 73 and finished with a 75 after completing her final two holes on Monday morning
Wilma Zanderau was tied for eighth on the player leaderboard with a score of 154 (74-80).
Hillary Currier and
Josefin Hansson finished in a tie for 14th overall. Currier finished with rounds of 80 and 77 (157) while Hansson carded rounds of 81 and 76.
Alaina Ervin finished with a 36-hole score of 162 (84-78) while
Brooke Inchisotro shot a 163 (82-81)
Emmy Wahl and
Hope Williams finished tied with a score of 165. Wahl shot rounds of 82-83 while Williams turned in rounds of 85-80.
Abigail Ante shot a 178 (86-92).
UMSL is back in action on Monday (March 30) as it travels to Ninety Six, S.C., for the Grand Harbor Classic at the The Patriot at Grand Harbor.
