NINETY SIX, S.C. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team finished ninth out of 19 teams with a total team score of 907 (313-292-302) on Tuesday in the Grand Harbor Classic at The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C.
Mayan Covarrubias led the way for the Tritons shooting a final round score of 72 to finish at even par for the tournament with a 54-hole total score of 216 (74-70-72) and was tied for seventh on the player leaderboard.
Wilma Zanderau shot a 79 in her final round to finish with a score of 227 (76-72-79) while
Emmy Wahl turned in a score of 76 to finish at 233 (83-74-76) for the tournament.
Brooke Inchiostro, competing as an individual, had the second lowest score of the day for UMSL shooting a 74 to finish at 235 (77-84-74),
Josefin Hansson fired a 77 on Tuesday to finish at 236 (83-76-77) and
Hillary Currier also shot a 77 in her round to finish with a score of 237 (80-80-77).
Wingate's Amely Bochaton and Lee's Hannah Nall tied for medalist honors with a score of 209. Wingate won the team championship with a total team score of 863 (289-289-285).
The Tritons are back in action on Sunday April 12 and Monday April 13 hosting the UMSL Spring Invitational at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis at 9:30 a.m.
