ST. LOUIS – The No. 25 University of Missouri-St. Louis basketball is ranked seventh in the Midwest Region in the third and final NCAA regional rankings that were released Wednesday afternoon.
The top eight teams in the final rankings will earn a bid to the NCAA Division II tournament. The Midwest region is comprised of teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC.)
The Tritons are 22-4 overall and 18-2 in the GLVC.
The NCAA will unveil its field of 64 teams for the tournament during a selection show on Sunday, March 8 at 9:30 p.m. (CDT) on NCAA.com.
The Midwest Region will hand out three automatic bids to conference tournament winners from the GLVC, GLIAC and GMAC. Five teams will earn at-large bids to the tournament.
The Tritons begin play in the GLVC Tournament on Thursday (March 5) hosting eighth seeded Upper Iowa at 12 p.m. at the Mark Twain Building.
