INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time in three weeks University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore women's golfer Mayan Covarrubias has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week. It's her second Player of the Week accolade this season and third of her career.

• Tied for seventh in field of 104 golfers,  notching her second-straight, top-10 finish
• Carded scores of 74-70-72 for total score of 216 (E) 
• • Recorded an eagle on first hole of the tournament
• Finished tied for first in par-4 scoring average (3.93)
• Helped Tritons place ninth in field that featured 10 ranked teams, including four in the top 10
• Earns third career Player of the Week Award (3/19/26, 9/12/24)
• Last Tritons' Player of the Week: Mayan Covarrubias (3/19/26)

The Tritons are back in action on Sunday (April 12) and Monday (April 13) hosting the UMSL Spring Invitational at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis.
