PERU, Ind. – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore golfer
Trigg Lindahl is in second place with a score of four under par after the first day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship tournament on Wednesday at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind. The Tritons are second overall at two over par after the opening day.
Play was suspended due to darkness after play was delayed by thunderstorms midway through the afternoon session. The second round will be completed Thursday morning and then will roll into the final round of the stroke play portion of the championships.
Lindahl shot an opening round score of 70 and is two under par through 13 holes in the second round.
Dani Solavera is tied for fifth with a score of 143. He shot a 73 in the morning session and followed it up with 70 in the afternoon round.
Logan Mayo is tied for ninth at +2. He fired off a 74 in the morning and is at even par through 11 holes in the second round.
Leo Baudry is tied for 20th at +6,
Benjamin Berger is a shot behind Baudry at +7 and
Ludvig Granlund is 10 over par with four holes left in his round.
Missouri S&T's Cole Komyati is the individual leader with a score of seven under par with five holes left in his second round. He holds a three-shot lead over Lindahl for medalist honors. The Miners sit atop the team leaderboard with a total team score of eight under par heading into the final day of stroke play on Thursday.
Thursday's action is scheduled to get underway at 7 a.m. (CDT).
