ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional by earning their first Great Lakes Valley Conference title since 2003 and will be the number six seed in the NCAA Midwest Regional.
Grand Valley State was selected as the top seed and the host of Midwest Regional number one in Allendale, Mich. The Lakers will host fourth seeded Missouri S&T, fifth seeded Davenport and eighth seeded Kentucky Wesleyan.
Illinois Springfield was selected as the host site for Midwest Regional number two and will take on seventh seeded UIndy on Thursday. The Tritons will face third seeded Wayne State (Mich.) at the UIS Baseball Field in Springfield, Ill.
Times and ticket information for Thursday's game will be announced on Monday.
