PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team dropped a 3-2 decision to Wingate on Friday morning in one of four quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship Medal/Match Play on Friday morning at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The Bulldogs, seeded first, advance to the semifinal match against fifth seeded Anderson (S.C.) who defeated fourth seeded Findlay 3-2 in a quarterfinal match.
Wilma Zanderau and
Alaina Ervin won their respective matches by seven strokes each.
The Tritons, seeded eighth, finished the season winning its first Great Lakes Valley Conference title in program history, advanced to the national championships for the seventh time in program history and qualified for the medal/match play championship for the first time in program history.
