Tritons Have Four Players Named To All-GLVC Team

ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team had four players named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team as announced by the league office on Wednesday evening at an awards banquet.

Senior Jamie Widule was named to the league's first team while freshman Kiley Sullivan and sophomore Phoebe Miller were selected to the second team and senior Kaytie Kossina landed on the third team.

Widule has played 49 games this season and finished the regular season with a .321 batting average recording 50 hits including eight doubles, two home runs, 24 runs batted while scoring 33 runs herself. She had a .777 on-base plus slugging percentage and was five-for-five in stolen bases.

In league play, Widule batted .347 with six doubles, two home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs scored. She hit the go-ahead grand slam in the second inning of a 12-3 win at Upper Iowa back on April 25. This is her second career All-GLVC accolade after earning third team honors in 2025.

Sullivan earns her first All-GLVC accolade after leading the team with a .396 batting average with 65 hits including 16 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 45 runs batted in while scoring 34 runs. She slugged .628 and got on base at .429 clip translating to a 1.057 on-base plus slugging percentage.

In conference action, she hit .429 with 12 doubles, a triple, five home runs and drove in 34 runs while scoring 20 runs and had an OPS of 1.166.

Miller lands on the All-GLVC squad for the first time in her career. She's hitting .317 with four home runs and 24 RBI to go along with nine doubles and 17 runs scored. Her OPS of .856 is fourth highest on the team and she has drawn more walks (11) than strikeouts (10).

In GLVC contests, she hit .366 with eight doubles, one home run and drove in 15 runs while posting an OPS of .895.

Kossina also receives her first career All-GLVC nod after a stellar senior campaign. She is second on the squad with a .384 batting average with eight doubles and a triple and has driven in 31 runs which is second most on the team. Her OPS of .911 is third highest on the team and she's tied for the team lead with 13 hit by pitches.

Kossina hit .416 in league action with eight doubles and 26 RBI while scoring 20 runs and had an OPS of .997.

Additionally, Ashley Borowitz was one of 15 student-athletes named as their team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree for distinguishing themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced later this month.

The Tritons continue play in the GLVC Tournament on Thursday at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill.
