ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis Executive Director of Athletics Dr. Holly Sheilley has announced that Scott Eul has resigned from his position as head baseball coach. He will be taking over as the head coach at Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tenn.

"Coach Eul has done an amazing job during his tenure with us. He will certainly be missed," Sheilley said.  As we look forward to the future, we are posed to continue the upward momentum as we search for the next coach.  

In four seasons leading the Tritons, Eul compiled a record of 114-97 including 75-56 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. He guided UMSL to three straight winning seasons and three straight appearances in the GLVC Tournament.

Eul's best season with the Tritons came in 2026 as he guided the team to a record of 34-22 including 24-8 in conference play and the number two seed in the GLVC Tournament. At the GLVC Tournament in Marion, Ill., UML defeated UIndy and Missouri S&T twice to win its first conference title since 2003.

The Tritons earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003. UMSL defeated Wayne State (Mich.) 10-5 in the opening round of the Tournament for its first NCAA Tournament win since 1996.

UMSL's 34 wins in 2026 were the third most in a single season in school history and the most since the 2003 team won 39 contests.

In his tenure Eul mentored 12 players to All-GLVC honors including Eli Cartwright who was the GLVC's Pitcher of the Year in 2026. He had seven players receive All-Region accolades and Cartwright and Mitch Bonczkowski earned All-America honors in 2026.

A search is underway to find his successor.
