SETTING THE SCENE
The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team begins a four-game homestand this weekend when the Tritons host the Hilton Holiday Classic. UMSL will entertain Harris-Stowe on Friday at 3 p.m. and Missouri Baptist on Saturday at 3 p.m. Lincoln will also compete in the two-day affair, playing Missouri Baptist on Friday and Harris-Stowe on Saturday, each at 1 p.m.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Harris-Stowe, 2-4 overall, has lost four straight since opening the season 2-0. The Hornets have played one other GLVC team, falling at Missouri S&T, 80-70, last Saturday. Shanique Buford, a transfer from NCAA DI SIU-Edwardsville, averages 18.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
Missouri Baptist enters Friday's game against Lincoln with a 2-3 record, having won two straight. Taylor Klingelhoefer averages a team-best 13.3 points, while Kristyne Smith averages 10.3 points and a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
UMSL is 15-0 all-time against Harris-Stowe.The Tritons posted an 86-55 victory in the last meeting, the 2010-11 season opener.
UMSL is 9-0 all-time against Missouri Baptist. The Tritons pulled out a 73-70 overtime victory last season in the last meeting.
LAST TIME OUT
The Tritons are coming off a 1-1 record at the Pops Duncan Classic last weekend, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tenn. UMSL lost a 71-67 decision to the host school on Friday before rebounding with a 71-57 victory over Grand Valley State on Saturday. Senior

UMSL has four seniors on its roster and all are atop the statistics, each averaging double figures.

Devonna Smith follow with 11.7 and 11.0 points per game. Smith also leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per game, while Like is one of three players averaging 3.0 assists per game.
SNOW SHOWER
Junior
Tierra Snow has come off the bench in all three games this year, averaging 7.0 points per game in 19 minutes per game. She is also averaging 3.3 rebounds, while shooting 52.9 percent from the field. Snow averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game last season.
FREE THROW ACCURACY
Senior
Hazaria Washington has connected on 11-of-12 free throws, including 8-of-8 in the win over Grand Valley State. As a team, the Tritons are shooting an even 80 percent (48-of-60) at the charity stripe, which leads the GLVC.
