ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team used a 17-5 run to open the second half en route to an 82-67 victory over Illinois-Springfield Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Tritons, which led 34-33 at halftime, shot 65.2 percent in the final 20 minutes of play and finished with four players in double figure scoring, led by junior
Darian Cartharn's 19 points.
UMSL improves to 17-8 overall with the win, including 10-7 in the GLVC, and will close out the regular season on Thursday at Maryville in a 7:30 p.m. contest. UIS slips to 7-18 and 5-12 in the league with the loss.

Joshua McCoy added 15 points, while junior
Michael Weber followed with 14 points. Senior
Isiah Nunn added 11 points as nine different players got in the scoring column.
UMSL finished the game shooting 48.3 percent and owned a 34-31 rebounding advantage. The Tritons also knocked down 10 three-pointers, including five from Cartharn and four from Weber.
McCoy snagged a team-best seven rebounds and dished out four assists, while Nunn and Cartharn had six rebounds each. Nunn added two steals and two blocked shots.
