SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL returns to the road this week for a two-game trip. The Tritons travel to NCAA Division II defending national champion and No. 5 ranked Drury on Thursday before a trip to Missouri S&T on Saturday.

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 10-5 overall, including 4-3 in the GLVC, by claiming a 75-72 win over Quincy last Saturday. The Tritons rallied from a 14-point first half deficit by outscoring the Hawks, 50-36, in the second half. UMSL trailed 11-0 to start the game and was down 36-25 at the half before junior Tylor Wimbish scored 21 of his career-high 27 points in the final 20 minutes to help the Tritons rally.

Wimbish averages 12.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on the season and is one of five starters to average double figures. Senior Femi John tops the team with 13.5 points per game and adds 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Drury is 14-1 overall and 6-1 in the GLVC, one game ahead of league newcomer Truman State in the West Division. The Panthers have won three straight since their only loss in the last 380 days, an 85-77 setback at then-No. 2 Bellarmine on January 7 in Louisville, Ky. Drury defeated William Jewell 79-56 on Saturday, extending their homecourt winning streak to 19 games. Kameron Bundy and Cameron Adams average 16.9 points each to lead the Panthers, while Adams grabs 5.7 rebounds per game.

Missouri S&T enters a Thursday contest against Maryville with a 7-8 overall record, including a 2-5 GLVC mark. The Miners have won two straight after opening their current four-game homestand with wins over William Jewell and Rockhurst last weekend. Bryce Foster is second in the league in scoring with 21.5 points per game, while Mudiaga Eruteya adds 17.5 points a game to go with 8.5 rebounds per game. The Miners lead the GLVC in scoring offense at 92.2 points per game.

THE SERIES
Drury leads the all-time series, 15-7, with the Panthers winning both meetings last season - a 74-70 decision in St. Louis and a 90-75 victory in Springfield.

UMSL holds a 34-24 lead in the series with Missouri S&T and defeated the Miners twice last season, including a 76-62 decision in St. Louis and a 78-71 decision in Rolla.

A BATTLE OF THREE-POINT SHOOTING
Thursday's game at Drury will feature the GLVC's top two three-point shooting teams. The Panthers are shooting a league-best 44.7 percent from beyond the arc, while the Tritons follow at 42.7 percent. In GLVC-only games, Drury is shooting 46.6 percent from long range, while UMSL is second at 44.6 percent.

Ironically, both teams also rank in the top four in three-point field goal percentage defense with the Panthers limiting foes to 30 percent and the Tritons holding opponents to 34.3 percent.
