PANA, ILL. – Freshman
Stefaniya Ivanova of the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team earned medalist honors for the first time in her young career by winning the Oak Terrace Fall Invitational, hosted by the Tritons on Saturday and Sunday. UMSL finished second as a team, while competing in its final fall event of the year.
Ivanova carded a seven-over par 151 (73-78), finishing just ahead of Southern Indiana's Anastasia Carter, who shot a 153. The Screaming Eagles won the nine-team tournament title, posting a 629 (314-315).
The Tritons shot rounds of 317 and 327 to record a 643.
Freshman
Ares Boira also posted a top-10 finish, placing ninth with a 162 (81-81), while junior
Joana Yanez (85-82) and
Alexa Capesius (81-86) tied for 15
th place, each shooting a 167. Senior
Bailey Hopper rounded out the scoring with a 168 (81-87), placing 20
th.
Sophomore
Miranda Rohlfing competed as an individual, finishing 24
th with a 171 (88-83).
