Box Score 2 SPRINGFIELD, MO. – No. 22 ranked Drury outscored the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team, 19-4, on Friday night in the start of a four-game Great Lakes Valley Conference series. The Panthers won by scores of 14-3 and 5-1 behind a combined 27 hits.
UMSL falls to 21-19 with the losses, including 17-13 in the GLVC. Drury improves its ledger to 33-9 and 24-4 in the league. The two teams will meet again tomorrow for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
GAME 1: Drury 14, UMSL 3 (9 innings)The Panthers out-hit the Tritons, 18-7, en route to the win and jumped out to an early 8-0 lead with four runs each in the first two innings.
UMSL got on the board in the third inning with two runs, including an RBI single from senior
Justin Lois and an RBI sac fly from junior

A five-run sixth inning helped Drury extend the advantage to 14-2 before senior
Philip Landwehr tallied an RBI fielder's choice in the seventh inning for the final score.

JJ Kinnevan was 2-for-3 at the plate as the Tritons were limited to five hits.
