BENTONVILLE, ARK. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball recorded 10 homeruns on Saturday in two victories at the Arkansas-Monticello 8-State Classic. The Tritons posted a 10-2 six-inning win over Minnesota State-Mankato in the morning before a 12-7 victory over East Central (Okla.) in the afternoon.
 
UMSL improves to 8-1 overall and returns to action next Friday-Sunday at the Lewis Indoor Tournament in Rosemont, Ill.
 
UMSL 10, Minnesota State Mankato 2 (6 inn.)
UMSL tallied four homeruns, including two from senior Madison Zbaraschuk, who finished 3-for-3 at the plate. The Tritons tallied nine hits, which also included homeruns from seniors Brianna Butler and Katie Rutledge. Butler also added a single.

Rutledge led off the third inning with a solo blast, while Butler and Zbaraschuk went back-to-back in that same frame with two outs.

Junior Hannah Perryman recorded the win in the circle in five and one-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out three and walking two.
 
UMSL 12, East Central 7
Butler recorded two of UMSL's six home runs, while sophomore Alex Stupek added a homerun and a double and reached base in all four plate appearances, drawing two walks. Zbaraschuk, Rutledge and senior Jena Boudreau added two hits each. Rutledge delivered her second homerun of the day, while senior Hannah Wessels and sophomore Sara Kern also had a homerun.

Butler recorded three-run homeruns in the second and sixth innings to finish the game with six RBIs.
 
Senior Brittni Chapman improved to 5-0 in the circle with the win, while Perryman recorded the save.
