ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team recorded a 1-0 victory in the nightcap to split with visiting Truman State on Sunday in the start of a four-game Great Lakes Valley Conference series.
The Tritons move to 22-12 overall, including 16-12 in the GLVC, while Truman is now 27-15 and 19-11 in the league. The series concludes tomorrow with a 12 p.m. doubleheader.

Zach Sedlacek took the loss, working five and one-thirds of an inning. He allowed four runs on five hits and struck out four, while also issuing four walks.

Cody Spotanski delivered the game-winning hit in the fifth inning with a single that scored Smith from second base. Smith reached on an infield hit and advanced to second on senior

Jim Brady then waved him home on Spotanski's hit, sliding into home as the Truman State catcher failed to hold on to the ball.
The Tritons recorded three of their four hits in the fifth inning.
Spotanski also came up big defensively in the top of the seventh, throwing out pinch runner Tyler Hill, who was trying to steal second with one out.
